Labienhecha rises up from a few laughs between partners that work on a workshop behind closed doors. A work place that, little by little, became something bigger than that. From those laughs and our gibberish Labienhecha was born. Weird at the beginning and very loved in the end, because to us it means that vintage, traditional touch, that slow burn or those things in life made with soul, along with the freshness of the moment.

We want you to know us, but we found so weird and not well-made to write about ourselves, that's why we've made a game. Four bienhechas have to answer to three questions about the rest. Don't miss it! The rest of the family will come very soon!

 

BIENHECHA: CRISTI

01. WHY IS CRISTI A BIENHECHA?

Marta: Cris is the soul of willingness, and not only speaking about work. If she makes something right, she admits it; if she makes something wrong, she also admits it. She always has an opinion and she shows it. And, be careful, because after all her “cúchame” [a very Andalusian way to say “listen to me” :) ], she’s going straight. An honest and straightforward Bienhecha, good for you!
Tania: Cris is bienhecha because she can do anything. She can draw a pink pig, as well as she can cut straps like no one else or take a needle and make bobbin lace. She can even sing like Chanquete! Anything! She does it all :)
Irene: Bienhecha from head to toe. Because she’s amazing not only as a professional, but also as a person. She deserves the title of Bienhecha tattooed on the skin, because she can do anything and she can handle everything. Because you need to remind her how good she is, but there are very few people like her. Because behind her prudence, is hidden an arsenal of attitude that becomes savoir faire. Cris is the soul of the details and she’s the well-said word that is needed to be said. And she’s also the most direct word, because very few ones are as clear as she is. This workshop wouldn’t be the same without Cris, for sure.

02. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONLY ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE HER, WHICH ONE WOULD BE?

Marta: Personality
Tania: ¡Majarona! [a very Andalusian way to say mad :) ]
Irene: Clear

03. HOW WOULD YOU TEASE CRIS?

Marta: I try it by stealing her breakfast cookies… but there’s no way!
Tania: Telling her to make something different when she’s focused on something.
Irene: I would mix some licorice, truffle and black olives in a tupperware.

BIENHECHA: IRENE

01. WHY IS IRENE A BIENHECHA?

Marta: This is easy to answer: she’s the mother of labienhecha, we wouldn’t be here without her. And still, thank to her we feel like this is also ours. That would be enough, but I still have a millions reasons. Her sense of effort has no boundaries; she’s honest, generous and grateful. You can always learn from her and she always want to listen what the rest of us have to say. She’s imperfect and wonderful, like every bienhecha should be.
Tania: She’s the master of the bienhechas. Everything begun with her… She’s a bienhecha in every way… She’s pure energy and she loves her work, she loves every bienhecha bag that we make and she loves what we are building here. 100% positive, there are no barriers for her. There is always a B, C, or even a Z plan.
Cris: She never gives up, she always has a B, C and even a D plan, and the best part is that she makes you feel involved, she keeps in mind what you think and your ideas, she makes you feel valuable, and that’s so important.

02. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONLY ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE HER, WHICH ONE WOULD BE?
Marta: Integrity
Tania: Irina Airina
Cris: Perseverance

03. HOW WOULD YOU TEASE IRENE?
Marta: Just one? I would say to her that a bug (if I wanted to be mean, I’d say a cockroach) got into this amazing head of hair.
Tania: Being disorganized.
Cris: I would unplug the coffee maker and when she realized what happened, she would find out that there is no coffee… She can’t live without it!

BIENHECHA: MARTA

01. WHY IS MARTA A BIENHECHA?

Tania: She’s bienhecha just because. Because she can be at the office with her computer, with her super nails and so cool, and then she can also be in the workshop o whenever you need her to be. Our Marta can do anything.
Irene: Aww…Marta is so much Marta. Another brave one who leaves everything to fight alongside with you. One of those who prove you that confidence is possible (and essential). One of those who never cease to improve. She’s a Bienhecha because not everybody cries when you cry. And not everybody infect you with her laugh and good vibes like she does. Because she’s multicolored and not just for her hair, nails or super outfits. I really think that it comes from her heart, where only nice things are born. That’s why she makes everything so well.
Cris: Marta is a bienhecha because whatever she does, she has a smile in her face. Her loud laughs are listened in the whole workshop, and even if you don’t know what is she laughing about, you cannot help laughing with her. She’s the soul of positivity!

02. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONLY ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE HER, WHICH ONE WOULD BE?

Tania: Rosalía
Irene: Tiranosaurio rex
Cris: Giggles

03. HOW WOULD YOU TEASE MARTA?

Tania: I would talk her about the plastic of carrots from the supermarket.
Irene: I would basically do it like I do every day until she says “leave me in peace” and then I stop, or I almost always stop. And if I would like to make her suffer, I would grind some zucchinis and other stuffs and chat at ungodly hours through every IG account that we share.
Cris: I would ask her to take inventory of straps and belts. She loves it!

BIENHECHA: TANIA

01. WHY IS TANIA A BIENHECHA?

Marta: Tania is the delight of the workshop, to the point that when she gets mad, it makes you laugh. Sometimes I laugh alone from the office while I’m listening her amazing stories and reflections, which always start by “quilla”. She’s the soul of spontaneity. It’s always appreciated to have this witty on the team.
Irene: Our girl from Ubrique! Because she doesn’t do anything for nothing. Because she has brought the joy to this workshop and the will to conquer the world. Because it’s never easy to pack you bags and start from zero, take a risk and fight for what you want. Because she took a bet on this project and believed in it since the first time and she still do it. Because you have to laugh with Tania, no matter what. Because it’s a pleasure to work with her, but you can also go anywhere with her. And because she taught me that if one of us fall, the other one falls too.
Cris: Tania is a machine to me, and not only because of her mastery of the sewing machine, but also because of herself. It’s amazing to work with her elbow to elbow, she’s always there to help you and she always has a nice word for you.

02. IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ONLY ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE HER, WHICH ONE WOULD BE?
Marta: Self-confidence
Irene: Little ankles
Cris: Machine

03. HOW WOULD YOU TEASE TANIA?
Marta: I would leave my dogs to bother her while we are at lunch.
Irene: I would make every noise with my mouth, cutlery, plates… She hates it!
Cris: I would take away (from the table) everything that she’s using. She hates knowing that she has something, going to get it and finding out that it’s not there, specially her awl.
